Making Realistic Changes - Create a Non Toxic Life

​Toxins are everywhere and are part and parcel of 21st century living. Despite being bombarded from every direction daily, there are many steps you can take in order to hugely reduce your toxin intake. Now I don’t expect the average person to rush with a list and make radical changes overnight as this would be overwhelming.

Being aware of how you can make changes over a period of time that is realistic to you, will make for a much better plan long term and ensure that you are assisting your body in being able to fulfil its primary functions instead of fighting toxin overload instead.  Here are just a few of the areas that I discuss with my clients when working through a health and wellness plan.

1. Filter your Water
Unfortunately tap water is now a source of toxicity due to the cleaning process as well as the infrastructure it travels within.  The practice of making water safe to drink actually involves adding large amounts of extremely poisonous chemicals to it. Key scientists are now providing evidence that long-term ingestion of small amounts of chemicals like these could be the cause of some major health problems.  Even if the water leaves the source in a relatively clean state, don't forget that your water travels through pipes, which may have been underground since Victorian times. It is almost impossible for the water not to become contaminated by something undesirable.  Water Filtering is essential to reduce toxins in your body.
 
2. Eat Organic
Whilst this doesn’t mean that the food is grown without some chemical involvement, it does mean that the number of chemicals and the toxicity is significantly reduced.  Better still, grow your own and then you can be sure of what you are consuming!
Cut out processed foods.  Pretty much all of processed foods available on the supermarket shelves contain many chemicals in order to make them taste good and preserve them for as long as possible.  Taking out processed foods from your daily intake will significantly help with the fight against toxins.

3. Use Organic & Natural Skin & Body Care

A huge number of chemical toxins are present in our standard skin and body care these days.  All present to make our products, smell nice, soak into our skin effectively, lather up nicely, make our hair shine etc. etc.  None of the sales claims made by the leading brands
would be possible without the use of chemicals.  I always advise my clients to make a conscious decision to switch and accept that we can have natural beauty on the outside by looking after the inside and therefore not need the use of such brands at all.  There are some fantastic organic and natural ranges available on the market that when you use, you appreciate the kindness you are actually showing your skin and body.
 
4. Use Natural Cleaning Products
If you are a proud home maker and like to keep your house tip top and clean then you will exposing yourself and your family to toxins every time you pick up the cloth and spray!  Some chemicals in leading brand cleaners are particularly nasty and I would most definitely recommend that you switch to an organic and natural brand.  Quite often these are far more effective anyway and smell far nicer!
  
5. Electromagnetic Radiation.
Another toxin that we are hugely exposed to nowadays but not discussed very much. Electromagnetic radiation is all around us, mobile phones, radio signals, Wi-Fi – basically everywhere we go.  The wireless world has exploded.  There are nearly 7 billion mobile phone subscriptions worldwide.  We live and work with computers, tablets, and the ever present Wi-Fi.

All of these devices emit electromagnetic radiation and we are now immersed in it 24 hours a day.

Many scientists & public bodies question the safety of this way of living because there is a significant body of research that indicates low level electromagnetic radiation has a detrimental effect on human health.  Now, this is a toxin that is virtually impossible to avoid and to be honest, no matter how we feel about toxins, most of us do not want and can’t live without mobile phones or WIFI!  Investing in a Harmoniser such as Energy Dot will go a long way to helping our body cope with the effect of this toxin on our body.  The DOT itself is a low power magnet acting as a storage device. There are many more toxins in our lives, such as plastics, cookware and more.  Becoming more conscious and aware and making small changes slowly, will lead to a healthier and fuller life!
