People used to refer to the word or phrase of the state of their ‘nerves’ rather than the word ‘stress’. It was Walter Cannon who actually developed the term stress in his work relating to the flight-or-flight response in 1932. In research terms stress now embraces biochemical, behavioural, physiological and psychological effects. Stress is a normal part of life. Many events that happen to you and around you, and many things that you do yourself, put stress on your body. You can experience stress from your environment, your body and your thoughts and other people’s responses to you! Linda Anousta trained as a nurse (SEN and SRN) and got to be Nursing Sister she had dreamed of becoming since she was 15 years old. After many years nursing and also working with a Consultant Dermatologist in Harley Street, London, Linda changed course. Retraining in Massage and Aromatherapy, and then she went back to college to train as a Beauty therapist and to study Science for Public Understanding at AS level. Over the next 12 years, Linda worked in her own business as a beauty therapist and Aromatherapist, whilst also continuing to train in 12 different areas from Baby massage to making Natural Skincare products. Eighteen years on from the launch of her own product range, ANOUSTA, she advises men, women and children on how to resolve their skin and health issues. She provides Luxury skincare for all at affordable prices. She loves helping people move towards her skin friendly and planet friendly products and seeing how their health and well being improves. Having experienced a variety of health problems herself and learnt how to deal with them, she is well equipped to give advice having sorted out a variety of her own health issues first! Linda shares a genuine empathy for those in physical pain and knows only too well that it is usually the case that people with physical pain often have an emotional pain that lies behind it. Linda has spoken at small and large venues and shared stages with a variety of well known people from, Dr John Millward and Dr Krishan and Janey Lee Grace. With a desire to give more public talks, reach more people and write the three books that lie within her, she now only needs to find an extra 24 hours a day! |
