Christmas is coming and before we know it the decorations will be up, Christmas music playing everywhere and the shops crazily busy. Once December comes around Christmas pretty much ‘takes over’ and becomes our sole focus.
December is a crazily busy month for most with cards and presents to organise, parties, work lunches and school productions included in what is already a fully packed schedule.

Christmas can be totally amazing as many take a break from daily routines and moods lift.  It is a time when loved ones come together and express gratitude at being able to have this precious time. For others it is a time of solitude with an opportunity to relax, but for many it can be stressful for a variety of reasons. Below are some tips to help make December and Christmas be as calm and enjoyable as possible:
  • Start early with preparations and do a little every day so as not to get overwhelmed.
From around mid-November give 10 minutes a day or a couple of hours a week for Christmas preparations whether it’s just writing a few cards a day or shopping for an hour sometime in the week.

  • Take time out for self during December to recharge energy.
Keep up your routine of fitness/yoga classes, walking, jogging etc It can feel like there are not enough hours in the day but taking time out for exercise will benefit both physically, mentally and emotionally whilst acting as a recharge

  • Spend time outside in nature.
How does being out in nature make you feel? Many people know that just being near to trees, plants and flowers can make them feel relaxed, calm and centred. This is due to their natural energy vibration being lifted. Just a 10 minute daily walk outside can have huge benefits.

  • Be kind (and patient) to others. Use words wisely.
Psychology research has shown that people who can affect our wellbeing most are families and peer groups(workmates/friends) and likewise we can affect the wellbeing of others. Be as calm and patient as possible with family, friends and colleagues and ensure you have time for yourself too.

  • Eat healthily to keep energy levels and immune system strong
Maintain a balanced diet ensuring sufficient intake of fruit/salad/vegetables which contain vitamin C and antioxidants to keep our immune system strong. Try not to depend on energy drinks or excessive caffeine consumption and supplement your diet with extra vitamin C containing foods both before and after nights of partying and alcohol to counteract its effects.

  • Have some fun
Whether it be a party, meal or just having a few friends or family members around for an evening, do something you enjoy which enables you to switch off from the daily routine and have some fun.

  • Consider using flower remedies.
Flower remedies are healing solutions containing the energetic imprint of flowers, plants or trees which when taken can raise our own energy vibration making us feel better mentally, emotionally and subsequently physically.

Each emotional state we experience has its own unique frequency or vibration. With emotions, such as anger and fear being low and emotions of love and gratitude being high. Our current emotion state directly affects our natural vibration state which is actually high. Abraham Hicks quoted: ‘You don’t have to work at your higher vibration. Your higher, pure vibration is natural to you but you have to let go of the thought which is holding your vibration down’.

So, our natural energy vibration state is high but life and certain associated challenges and subsequent thoughts and emotions can cause our naturally high vibration to drop. A significant drop in energy vibration can lead to some level of stress or depression. Also, when our energy vibration drops we can experience symptoms of physical illness (disease).

For optimal health and mental/emotional wellbeing, we need to keep our vibration as high as possible and flower essences containing the energetic imprint of flowers, plants and trees can assist with this.

The winter days and/or the beginning of a New Year can affect the emotional state of some people. Be kind to yourself, accept your feelings and do all you can to make steps to lift your energy vibration back to its natural state so the Christmas period can be managed with ease and hopefully enjoyment.
